Ecoconstruction

Mon travail consiste à caractériser les méthodes de construction en terre crue afin de déterminer leurs propriétés mécaniques et hygrothermiques, leur durabilité... Les matériaux étudiés sont réalisés à partir de différentes terres renforcées par différentes fibres végétales (thèses Armel Laibi et Junior Tchiotsop). Une attention particulière est portée à la variabilité des propriétés en lien avec la variabilité des matériaux premiers. Par ailleurs, l’étude des propriétés hygrothermiques se fait de l’échelle du matériau jusqu’à l’échelle de la paroi (chambre biclimatique). Ces études sont complétées par une étude du patrimoine en terre crue sur la presqu’ı̂le guérandaise, notamment pour déterminer les raisons de l’utilisation de la terre sur la partie orientale de la région uniquement. Je travaille également dans le cadre de la thèse de Marie-Hélène AZAM sur la réduction de modèle pour la simulation énergétique à l’échelle de la ville ou du quartier.

Fabrication additive grande dimension

Dans le domaine de la fabrication additive grande dimension, je m’intéresse à la construction des bâtiments par impression 3D (technologie Batiprint3DTM brevetée – coffrage en mousse de polyuréthane + béton autoplaçant). Cette technologie a été utilisée pour la  construction du démonstrateur YhnovaTM, projet phare de l’Université de Nantes ces deux dernières années. Je travaille au développement de solutions d’impression 3D à base de matériaux biosourcés. Je participe également au groupe de travail Robotique et Chantier regroupant universitaires et industriels, qui a pour objectif l’automatisation dans la construction. Par ailleurs, des collaborations avec des industriels ou maı̂tres d’ouvrage publics ou privés, devraient déboucher prochainement sur de nouveaux projets de construction. La collaboration fructueuse avec les chercheurs du LS2N Benoît Furet et Sébastien Garnier a débouché sur la création de la start-up .
